Are
You Stalled?
There are times when we just do not feel fulfilled in our current lives. We go to work and we don’t enjoy our job. We look for activities to fill our time, but we still can’t shake that uneasy feeling. Or maybe you just feel depressed and you don’t know why you feel that way or what to do about those feelings. Not knowing the source of all these uneasy feelings can lead to major depression if they not resolved as soon as possible. Those feelings of anxiety begin to feed on themselves and soon you are fearing waking up in the morning because you don’t want to face those same feelings again.

In
absence of clearly defined goals, |
One possible explanation for these feelings may be because you are ‘stalled’ somewhere in your life. By ‘stalled’, I mean that you are not making progress in some area of your life, such as your career or your relationships. You have had goals you wanted to attain and for some reason you are not making the progress you expected. Or maybe you have attained one of your goals, celebrated, but you have not set a new goal. Your mind had been focused on the goal, giving you motivation. Now that you have achieved the goal, and celebrated, your mind is floundering, waiting for direction.

If
you paint in your mind |
If you are truly ‘stalled’, and there
are no other major problems causing you to feel unfulfilled, you may just be
bored with your current place in life. You
may be unhappy with your job and not recognizing the symptoms.
Sure, we all have bad days at work periodically, but if you dislike going
to work everyday – it’s time to examine that situation with an eye toward
enjoying your work. Take a critical
look at your situation and ask yourself if there is something you need to do
externally, in order to feel better about yourself and current place in life.
It may be time to reexamine your goals and how you are going to attain them, or even consider moving on to a new opportunity in order to jump start your career and get excited about your work.

A
major part of successful living lies in the ability to put first things
first. |
